Examin8 App Vs Custom App

The Custom Mobile App is essentially the same as the Examin8 Student App, but completely rebranded with your own identity. While the features and functionality remain the same, the Examin8 branding is replaced entirely with your institution’s name, logo, and brand elements. On your students’ Android devices, the app will appear with your brand name and app icon—not Examin8. From the moment the app is launched, students will see your custom splash screen, creating a seamless branded experience. Once logged in, students will continue to interact only with your brand. All menus, icons, and visual elements will reflect your institution’s identity, and the academic content will be presented without any references, links, or branding related to Examin8 or myCBSEguide. In short, this is a fully white-label mobile app that allows you to offer a complete digital learning platform under your own brand, giving your students a professional and consistent experience from start to finish.

Key Features

As discussed, it’s a refined version of the Examin8 app with your brand name. It has some very specific features as well as some limitations as follows: It has basically FIVE sections -

• Tests: This section displays all online tests created through the Examin8 Test Generator and assigned to a specific batch. Students can access, attempt, and review the results of these tests here.
• Study: Through the Examin8 Test Generator dashboard, you can create folders and upload study resources such as PDF documents and useful website links, including revision notes, question papers, assignments, homework, model papers, and other learning materials. Any content uploaded to a specific batch will be available to students in this section for easy access and reference.
• Videos: This section contains educational videos that you have added from YouTube through the Examin8 dashboard and assigned to specific batches. You can create folders to organise video content and manage learning resources effectively. Students can access all the YouTube videos shared with their batch in this section.
• Progress: This section provides detailed insights into students’ academic performance and progress. It includes exam results, practice question analysis, performance trends, strengths and weaknesses, and other key metrics based on the tests attempted and questions practised by the students.

Limitations

This mobile app is offered as a SaaS (Software as a Service) product and is available only to users with an active Test Generator package and a valid mobile app subscription. Access to the app is restricted to your registered students. Please note the following limitations and conditions of the mobile app:

• Batch Management Requirement: Students can access the mobile app only if they have been added to a batch. Therefore, you must create batches and assign students to them through the dashboard to enable their access to the app and its resources. Here is how you can create batches.
• Student Login Requirement: To enable mobile app access, you must create a unique custom (dummy) login ID and password for each student, such as student@yourinstitute.com. Students registered using a personal Gmail address or mobile number cannot log in to the mobile app. This guide explains how to add students to a batch.
• App Distribution: The mobile app is provided as an Android APK file, which can be downloaded from your Test Generator dashboard. You can share the APK download link directly with your students through WhatsApp or any other communication channel. Since the app is distributed outside the Google Play Store, some Android devices may display security warnings or encounter installation restrictions. In such cases, students may need to allow installation from unknown sources or adjust their device settings to complete the installation.
• Freemium Resources: The study resources provided through the platform are not entirely free. Revision Notes and NCERT Solutions are available to all students at no cost. Other resources follow a freemium model, where some content is accessible for free while premium items remain locked. When a student clicks on a locked resource, a message will appear like “Please ask your teacher to unlock the premium content for you”. You can buy these premium resources from your Test Generator dashboard at a cost of ₹50 per subject, per student, per year and assign the same to your students. If a student leaves the batch or is removed before the subscription period ends, you can reassign the premium resource access to another student for the remaining validity period, ensuring maximum utilization of your subscription.

Plans and Pricing

We will provide you the Android App (APK file) that will be pre-loaded with freemium content. We charge 3000/- per year (including GST) for APK and 50/- per student per subject per year for premium content. Here, NCERT solutions, Revision notes and some other stuff are freely available to all students without any payment.
